Chirico Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Kissimmee, Florida, offers more than just a meal—it serves a taste of authentic, heartfelt Puerto Rican Chinese cuisine. Located conveniently at 1304 W Vine St, this unassuming spot has built a loyal following over decades, standing out for its fresh, hot, and truly flavorful dishes. The experience here transcends the food, shaped by the warmth and humility of the owners and staff, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home.
What truly distinguishes Chirico is the quality of its food. Customers like Gabriel Hill draw parallels to notable spots such as El Jardin Chino on Junction Blvd in Queens, highlighting the authenticity and nostalgic flavors that transport diners back to cherished culinary traditions. The menu balances well-loved classics with generous portions at fair prices, making it a favorite lunch and dinner destination for locals and visitors alike.
Dishes like the three-piece fried chicken paired with savory fried rice reveal the kitchen’s mastery of timing and texture—the chicken arrives crisp and hot, while the fried rice bursts with flavor, accentuated by perfectly seasoned sides. Even simpler items, such as the fries, show attention to detail in their freshness, though some customers wish for a touch more seasoning.
Decades of consistent quality, as recounted by longtime patrons like Karen C and P. Miranda, attest to Chirico's enduring commitment to excellence. They emphasize the restaurant’s role not just as an eatery but as a part of communal memory—a place where food stirs emotions and bonds. Despite its modest appearance, Chirico embodies the ethos that authentic cuisine needs no grand facade, only genuine ingredients and care.
In all, Chirico Restaurant stands as a testament to the richness of cultural fusion done right. It invites you to savor more than a meal; it invites you to experience a slice of heritage, comfort, and culinary passion under one roof.
“ The food here is really good. When I'm in Kissimmee craving Chinese food. This is the spot. It reminds me of El Jardin Chino in Junction Blvd. queens. ”
“ I come here for lunch they have good prices and the food comes out fresh I don’t know where all the other post experience but I haven’t had a bad experience ”
“ I visit this place since 10 years ago and the food is almost good, fresh; hot, tasty. Cheff and wife there are nice people and humble, register is friendly and provide a good service. ”
“ My dad & I have ate here for 20 years since moving from Puerto Rico. I grew up having amazing memories with my dad in Chirico & the owner, & NEVER did we ever get bad food here. People complain about the looks (which I get), but let's be real, if the Chinese spot doesn't look that way, the food won't slap. The most authentic Puerto Rican Chinese food outside of Puerto Rico itself. Chirico is a little piece of home in Kissimmee. {Side Note: My dad passed away recently & going back definitely feels weird & different without him but it's 1 of the few pieces I have left of him now. Thank you Chirico!} ”
“ Ate here for the first time to go delivery on Uber Eats. I ordered the 3 piece fried chicken with fried rice and French fries. The food came fresh, correct, hot, and no issues. It was delivered early also. The fried rice I thought was really tasty. The chicken and fries were pretty good. I would prefer the fries salted instead of plain. Prices and portion size were very fair. ”
